Case Study 4 – Building a Mentor Manager Framework

Ascend builds a Mentor Manager framework within the IT Division of a major healthcare organisation. In such a fast paced and changing business environment the IT Division identified the need for a Mentor Mentee programme. The clients IT Division is in a constant state of change due to the numerous projects it is tasked with by the business. These projects mean that the individuals within the IT Division have multiple project managers throughout the year which created a lack of consistency in the approach to people development and performance management.

Ascend recommended a programme ensuring that it reflected the clients requirements and the needs of the individual participants. The programme was an opportunity to pilot the proposed approach with the view to reviewing the participants experience and improve / refine the programme architecture, programme design, style, and content support materials.
