Case Study 6 – Ascend Helps A Leading International Insurance & Financial Services Organisation

As part of a planned expansion our client asked Ascend to recruit a Regional Head of Compliance EMEA & Deputy Head. Our client is a member company of an International Group, which operates in more than 130 countries and jurisdictions.

Ascend established an appropriate ‘Best Team’ comprised of Ascend local market consultants and sector experts. Ascend worked closely with the General Manager EMEA and conducted detailed research ‘mapping the market’ in Ireland to identify potential hires.

Guidance was provided in the form of weekly reports followed by conference calls with both the client and Ascends project manager to update search strategies and comment on progress and market variances as well as candidate responses to the proposition.

Ascend consultants were involved in all of the first interviews. This was essential to ensure quality of feedback and overall management of the process and enabled Ascend to build strong relationships with candidates keeping them motivated through the process.
